Dataset Abstract

Soil chemical laboratory analyses of VIPs and VIPReps on Site B. Contents of carbon, nitrogen and sulphur as well as pH-values (in H2O and KCl) of five depth increments per plot.

Dataset Design

Five depth increments were taken from systematic corings: Nine corings per plot were pooled to one sample per depth increment (0-5, 5-10, 10-20, 20-30, 30-50 cm). Samples were air-dried, sieved < 2mm, grinded using a ball mill. Subsamples of 40 mg were used for measurements with an elemental analyzer (Vario EL III, Elementar, Hanau, Germany).
