Dataset Abstract

The soil microbial biomass data from tracer NILEx 2012, data is only analyzed through samples taken from the 3rd time point (August, 2012).

Dataset Design

Sampling process was cooperating with leaf litter decomposition group. The soil beneath the litter laid was taken by soil core (0-10cm soil depth) directly after the leaf litter decomposition group collected the litter residues from the designated mesocosms. Soil were then sieved with 2mm mesh and kept frozen before stored in the freezer.

Spatial Extent

NILEx field site, near site A, Xingangshan

Temporal Extent

Samples were taken in 2012 July, and then were freeze dried in the field lab and transported back to Halle. PLFA was done in UFZ lab in 2013 .

Taxonomic Extent

bacterial or fungal communities based on lipid indicators (lipid biomass). See column descriptions for more detail about individual lipid indicators.

Data Analysis

All lipids less than 20 carbons in length were listed with their abundance (nmol lipid g dry wt-1).
